The website and the app
This website has free calculators and guides anyone can use. The app is for people who sell regularly: it follows the market for 12 metals, remembers your yard's rates, alerts you when prices move, and keeps your records.
Pro (optional)
Pro adds multi-yard comparison so each load sells where it pays most, intraday and 1–5 year charts with candlesticks, unlimited alerts, an unlimited log with CSV export, daily commentary on all 12 metals, and 8 display currencies. It's sold in the app through the App Store, monthly, annually or as a one-time Forever purchase. You can cancel a subscription any time in your Apple account settings.
Privacy
No account, no ads, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. Your yards and haul log stay on your phone. To send price alerts while the app is closed, the app sends your alert prices and an anonymous push token to our alert server. Purchases go through Apple and RevenueCat. The app's privacy policy lists everything the app sends; see also its terms of use.
Scrap Metal Intel is a price reference, not financial, investment or trading advice. Exchange prices are not what a local yard will pay.
